Evolution of Garments Sector of the City of Ibague Colombia
Abstract
The purpose of the research is to understand the economic and social evolution of business organizations whose main economic activity is carried out in the textile subsector artificial Ibagué, to serve as a basis for measuring the impact of interventions to support the subsector, by both public and private entities and project strategies leading to improved performance of the subsector. To this end the methodological process is designed and strategic alliances for the inclusion of experts on the subject matter of study in this regard and seek the professional draft Acopi Tolima, Tolima University apparel and textile cluster are linked Tolima. The project allows knowing the changes generated in the past five years, the activities of the sub-sector on issues related to employment, income, production, associativity, management, technology and innovation. First a technical study that characterizes the subsector in 2013 linking only formalized companies and subsequently compared with the results of the first phase of the technical sector study conducted in 2008, covering mostly done is done, formalized businesses.
The study shows a positive trend in the apparel subsector in the last five years, specifically on issues related to employment, income, organization, training of human talent and quality certification processes. Aspects whose evolution is not positive, is related to the association which is less willingness to work together with other business and production, where companies that use decrease technical specifications, apply quality control systems and control tools used and production tracking, which are essential for increased productivity in business and customer satisfaction.
