Model for the implementation of sustainability reports in companies in the dairy sector in Mexico
Abstract
Currently environmental accounting and sustainability reports have taken an important role within organizations, with this research it is intended to carry out an analysis of the application of sustainability reports in leading companies in the dairy sector in Mexico, in relation to environmental accounting and participation in the development of the Sustainable Development Goals, with an adequate theoretical and legal foundation, under a descriptive, non-experimental methodology. The results obtained show the knowledge and management of this business accounting challenge in organizations, from the identification of the regulations to the determination of the aspects of sustainable application that help to observe environmental policies, concrete actions aimed at the Sustainable Development Goals, the measurement, evaluation and communication systems carried out by organizations and their records of valuation, accumulation and disclosure of strategies that contribute to sustainable business commitment.
